Thanks Brittany – I signed up for the webinar tomorrow.
Content marketing is complex – and I’ve been trying to integrate strategies from a variety of sources:
- I use the Yoast SEO plugin (WordPress) and have his introductory manual for doing SEO (my site’s SEO needs revisiting as all this ‘integrating’ is iterative).
- I am working through Pamela Wilson’s (CopyBlogger/Rainmaker) ‘Master Content Marketing’ and finding the advice on the ‘lazy person’s’ strategies helpful – especially the part about creating ‘Content Ideas’ system that you can/will actually use.
- We have a Facebook page that has lain dormant for a while – ditto Twitter. I’ve just connected my @TransplantRogue twitter to our Facebook page so I can shortcut posts and for the March challenge will be trying to post to Twitter (then Facebook) using the 1 image/2 sentences/2 hashtags strategy. We’ll see how it goes. Our ‘post-transplant’ life isn’t all that exciting (yet). Prepare yourself for pictures of Tony sitting around getting over shingles. I very much struggle to find images to share on social media – and hope that the work I’ve done with respect to generating content ideas can help guide me to creating some compelling images for SoMe.
- I am using a spreadsheet to track users/followers/engagement on various platforms. I got as far as creating the spreadsheet, but not keeping it up-to-date.
Once I get myself moving forward, I will be more likely to do the tracking and other required tasks. I’m looking forward to increasing engagement!
